ViTrox has taken the next step in the M2M collaboration work with Panasonic Smart Factory Solution, as the V510i Optimus 3D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) system is now certified to support and conform to the standards for the Advanced Process Control - Mounter Feedback 2 (APC-MFB2) system.

Automated process optimization by machine-to-machine (M2M) communications has become more and more important as we move forward, especially during this time when we are facing material supply shortage in the electronic industries. In order to meet the current demand in the market, increasing the production yield while maintaining product quality is crucial. Here at ViTrox, we believe that M2M communications is one of the important elements in Industry 4.0. We have taken the next step in M2M communications through our collaboration with Panasonic Smart Factory Solutions, and our V510i Optimus 3D AOI solution is now certified to conform to the evaluation standards and requirements for Panasonic's APC-MFB2 system. With the APC-MFB2 system, the user will be able to automate the process optimization and increase the Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) of the assembly line.

We strengthen our partnership with Panasonic Smart Factory Solutions during the Covid-19 pandemic in order to provide our users with an exceptional user experience. After successfully completing the support for Panasonic's APC-MFB on our V510i 3D AOI system, we continued the effort to develop the support for APC-MFB2 on our V510i 3D AOI system. With the APC-MFB2 feature, the user will be able to enjoy the automation of process optimization, as the V510i 3D AOI system works together with Panasonic's NPM mounter via the M2M communications. As the V510i 3D AOI system inspects aboard, it generates the required information based on the inspection results, and feed the data to Panasonic's mounter. The mounter applies the required correction automatically on the subsequent board if there are any offsets detected. The APC-MFB2 is an extension of the APC-MFB and has increased the component package types covered by the system, such as components with leads.
