In 2021, the SMT industry and market are moving towards high efficiency with less workforce. Recently, Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) has been introduced widely to the market. Automated and self-learning from the A.I. models provide the market with a chance to make a leap into an advanced and robust industry. Meanwhile, various systems in the SMT line have started to involve A.I. in the system for different purposes including programming, classification and buy off, etc.
With AOI, ViTrox offers the A.I. Smart Programming tool and VVTS with A.I. Assist to the market as part of the key-value differentiation to our trusted customers. As introduced to the market last year, both tools are receiving encouraging responses from our valued customers. We are always motivated to continuously enhance the tools for better performance & accuracy and more user-friendly.
The latest A.I. Smart Programming tool does not rely on CAD input. It is designed to further improve the programming time through the new Smart Graphical user interface (GUI) plus wider coverage such as A.I. Optical Character Recognition (OCV), barcode and fiducial auto-setup. This enhancement brings significant benefits such as reducing the programming time up to 70%~75% compared to the conventional way at the same time ensuring the quality of the programs and parameters.
Furthermore, ViTrox is excited to announce to the market that its AXI is integrated with A.I. features in the system which include programming and buyoff station. It all started with the thought of ease of programming idea which later evolved into making it automated with only required users to verify the result. Currently, AXI A.I. programming (or known as intelligent tuning) is available for gullwing and leadless joint type to let the market try on it. The same goes for the buyoff station where A.I. is used to assist the user to buyoff the result by showing defects confidence level. Now, it started to support MLCC open defects and there are more joint types in the AXI roadmap.
Stay tuned for more A.I. features to be launched soon.
