In December 2020, we introduced the newest Advanced Robotic Vision Solution, V9i FI, for final inspection. The new V9i FI is a flexible inspection system designed to automate manual visual inspection assignments. The integration of flexible hardware, software architecture and algorithms makes it suitable for both conformal coating and final inspection of PCBAs.
We can dock the compact size of V9i FI to an existing conveyor without having to rearrange the production line. Its seamless integration 6-axis cobot allows users to perform a custom-angle inspection (up to 90°), which is not available in a conventional system.
V9i FI is a fully configurable system that can be configured into different modules with modular vision designs. For the Final Inspection application, we can configure with a patented motorized vari-angle lighting, multifocal lens, and laser sensor for height measurement capabilities. It is coupled with 2-in-1 inspection capability into a single system which makes the system also compatible to perform final inspection and conformal coating inspection capabilities.
V9i FI System
V9i FI’s powerful and dedicated algorithms cater to different industries (automotive, telecommunication, etc.) V9i FI’s Smart Learning and rule-based algorithms provide comprehensive final inspection coverages for component, pins, and joint level; barcode label; cosmetics defect. The Advanced CAD-less programming and intuitive user interface enhance the users’ programming experience, enabling the system to complete an inspection recipe within 30 mins. V9i FI is equipped with a simple layout and compact design for easy maintenance.
In a nutshell, the V9i system is a valuable investment in SMT production. It provides 2-in-1 inspection capability; fast inspection speed that easily increases inspection UPH up to 200% output for board size 200 mm*200 mm (Human inspection: 45s/board; V9i inspection: 15s/board).
