That’s why we’ve built a tradition of regular company events throughout the years, designed to not only acknowledge milestones and achievements, but also cultivate a spirit of “One ViTrox, One Heart, One Team”. This commitment to our team extends beyond individual successes, creating a foundation for a positive and productive work environment that benefits both our employees and our valued stakeholders.
Company Trip
Acknowledging the tireless efforts and unwavering dedication of our people, we continuously focus on their appreciation and well-being. In 2023, we organised an incentive trip as a token of gratitude for our team’s hard work and dedication. A total of 628 participants and their family and friends embarked on an 8-day, 5-night vacation through the captivating landscapes and cultures of Croatia, Slovenia and Venice, Italy. Divided across 14 separate trips, the experience allowed our people to bond with peers, family and friends while immersed in exploration. There were 84 participants who volunteered their time and talents in roles such as trip leader, assistant leader, coordinator, first-aider, photographer and videographer to help make each trip a memorable success. This incentive journey reinforces our Company’s dedication to recognising employee contributions and furthering their well-being.
Annual Dinner
Annual dinner has been a culture of ViTrox to gather our people and recognise their effort and hard work in the past year. In 2023, ViTrox adopted a “green living” theme for our Company annual dinner to showcase our commitment to growing awareness of environmental sustainability and inspiring greener habits. The event engaged 802 attendees which include ViTroxians, interns, and their families and friends. We provided earth-friendly meals to all attendees to reduce our carbon footprint and gifted plants which symbolised sustainability beyond the event. Additionally, our people delivered performances conveying environmental protection messages, aligning with the theme.
During the donation handover ceremony at the annual dinner, over RM1.6 million was donated through ViTrox Foundation to the charity beneficiaries which include primary and secondary schools and charity organisations.
Gratitude Night
The Gratitude Night is organised annually to express gratitude to our fellow ViTroxians who have been contributing their extra time and effort throughout the past year. In 2023, the event was successfully held with total attendees of 198 people, including Master Mind team members, radiation protection officers, safety officers, schedule waste team, Environment, Health and Safety (“EHS”) members, Emergency Response Team (“ERT”) members, ESG Steering Committee (“ESC”), V-Trainers, quality management system (“QMS”) internal auditors, 5S auditors, special interest club leaders, competition winners, programme winners and active members who have undeniably left a meaningful impact to the Company.
The event also had a donation handover ceremony where Penang Science Cluster (“PSC”), Women’s Centre for Change (“WCC”), Penang Animal Welfare Society (“4PAWS”), Than Hsiang Mitra Welfare Center Penang, D'Home Mental Health Association, Home Dynamics and Buddhist Tzu-Chi Merit Society Malaysia were present as beneficiaries.
Team Building
To promote team cohesion, we provided funds for leaders to organise team-building activities throughout 2023. The purpose was to align, engage and motivate team members to achieve the Company, business unit and department goals. A total of 92 leaders organised team-building activities, demonstrating our commitment to fostering collaborative teams and employee enrichment. These efforts reinforce our values of unity and underline our investment in our people.
