With the support of ViTrox Academy, ViTrox Technologies and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (“UTAR”) organised the Tech 4 Good Challenge. This is Malaysia’s first collaborative technology challenge coordinated by the local industry and academia, for secondary and tertiary-level students to showcase their engineering design in solving existing real-world problems.
Tech 4 Good Challenge 2023 brought forth some of the most ambitious, creative, and practical solutions developed by young Malaysian talents, focusing on three (3) tracks – well-being, agriculture and sustainability. The success of the first-ever Tech 4 Good Challenge underscores the importance of bridging the gap between industry and academia, providing a platform for students to elevate their technical expertise and creativity to address pressing global challenges.
In 2023, the challenge engaged 107 groups of active participants, compromising 109 students with the youngest age at 15 years old. Out of the 107 groups, 37 groups (21 groups from Category 1; 16 groups from Category 2) successfully advanced to compete and showcase their solutions to the world in this grand finale. Winners of Tech 4 Good Challenge 2023 emerged at the Grand Finale hosted at ViTrox Campus 2.0 on 8 July 2023. The winners shared an impressive prize pool of up to RM24,000.
