The V510i DST AOI is redefining the industry standard for dual-sided assembly inspection. Engineered for versatility, it supports true 3D inspection for SMT processes, pre-/post-THT wave soldering, selective soldering, pin inspections, final OBA inspection, and even conformal coating applications. Its Dual Vision modules offer flexible top- and bottom-vision 3D inspection in a single machine, eliminating the need for additional flipping or separate AOI systems, enabling simultaneous 2D/3D inspection and significantly reducing cycle time. The system also supports tall component inspection up to 100mm and can be configured with four angular cameras for advanced side-view inspection of partially hidden joints and Optical Character Verification (OCV). In addition, UV lighting capability supports conformal coating inspection, enabling the system to double as a final assembly inspection station.
A core differentiator of the V510i DST AOI is its advanced Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) integration, enhancing every stage of the inspection workflow. Key capabilities include A.I. Smart Programming to automate recipe creation for both THT and SMT components. Its A.I.-based component auto-detect-and-populate feature enables view-based CAD-less programming for fully autonomous setup. At the review stage, A.I.-assisted auto judgment delivers high-speed, autonomous defect evaluation, cutting buy-off time by approximately 90% and eliminating human judgment errors.
The V510i DST AOI also offers extensive configurable options to support diverse manufacturing needs. Co-axial lighting enables precise detection for PTH post-wave and wave-reflow solder inspection, while a heavy-load rail option allows the handling of boards up to 20kg. The platform integrates seamlessly with ViTrox’s V-ONE centralised control tower, a cornerstone of its Manufacturing Intelligence Solutions Towards Industry 5.0.
