SINGAPORE – MAY 2025 – ViTrox, a leading global provider of innovative vision inspection solutions, was delighted to express its sincere appreciation to the Minister of Investment, Trade & Industry (MITI), YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, for his insightful visit to the ViTrox stand (#L2201) at SEMICON Southeast Asia 2025. The Minister's visit took place on 21st May 2025, during the premier industry event held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Singapore.

SEMICON SEA 2025 marked a significant milestone for ViTrox, as the company celebrated its 25th Anniversary, commemorating a quarter-century of pioneering innovation and technological breakthroughs in the semiconductor and electronics industries. The event provided an invaluable platform for ViTrox to showcase its comprehensive range of next-generation innovations, including Middle & Back-end Semiconductor Vision Solutions, SMT PCB Assembly Vision Solutions, Integrated Industrial Embedded Solutions, and Manufacturing Intelligence Solutions towards Industry 5.0. This demonstrated ViTrox’s commitment to smarter, more efficient, and high-quality manufacturing.

During his participation at SEMICON SEA 2025, Minister Tengku Zafrul highlighted MITI's ongoing efforts to bolster the growth of the local semiconductor industry. He announced that targeted incentives aimed at further boosting the sector would be unveiled in July, coinciding with the first anniversary of the National Semiconductor Strategy's launch. The Minister emphasised MITI's continued close collaboration with semiconductor industry players to navigate the evolving landscape and geopolitical uncertainties.

He also reiterated Malaysia's dedication to fostering global collaboration and dialogue to maintain its crucial position in the global supply chain. He acknowledged Malaysia's long-standing involvement in the semiconductor industry since the 1970s, noting its steady growth, robust partnerships, and success in attracting some of the world’s most renowned companies. Last year, Malaysia's semiconductor sector contributed approximately US$130 billion (RM575 billion) to national electronics exports and now accounts for 13% of global back-end semiconductor output.
